{"id":351,"date":"2017-11-25T16:06:58","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T07:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.peace-nagasaki.go.jp\/?page_id=351"},"modified":"2026-02-04T13:38:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T04:38:47","slug":"peacenet","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.peace-nagasaki.go.jp\/en\/activity\/peacenet","title":{"rendered":"Peacenet"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>A guide to Peacenet, the online tool for peace studies<\/h3>\n<p>The Memorial Hall offers peace studies sessions in which people outside Nagasaki utilize an internet conference system in order to listen to the talks of atomic bombing survivors and exchange opinions.<\/p>\n<h4>Eligible parties<\/h4>\n<p>Those with an internet connection but no opportunity to visit Nagasaki and listen to atomic bombing survivors speak of their experiences.<\/p>\n<h4>Fee<\/h4>\n<p>Free of charge<br \/>\n*Users are requested to pay their own internet connection charges.<\/p>\n<h4>Dates of availability<\/h4>\n<p>In general, any days except Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays in Japan and days when the Memorial Hall is closed (Dec. 29 to Dec. 31).<\/p>\n<h4>Requisite equipment and devices<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal computer<\/li>\n<li>Webcam<\/li>\n<li>Microphone<\/li>\n<li>Speaker<\/li>\n<li>Screen<\/li>\n<li>Projector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Sample program<\/h4>\n<table border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top;\">\n<ol class=\"maru\">\n<li>Explanation of the Nagasaki atomic bombing\/ Introduction to the speaker (around 10 minutes)<\/li>\n<li>Testimony of survivor (around 20 to 30 minutes).<br \/>\nPowerPoint software is used to display photographs and pictures from the time of the bombing<\/li>\n<li>Q&amp;A and remarks from students (around 15 minutes)<\/li>\n<li>Speaker\u2019s message to the students\/ Closing remarks (around five minutes)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A specific plan for the program will be finalized following discussions between the applicant and the Peace Memorial Hall.
